How to Choose the Right Watch

Start with the wrist. A 38–40 mm case suits most wrists; 42 mm and above reads as a deliberately large watch. If the case overhangs the wrist, the size is wrong regardless of the style.
Then decide how you will wear it. Leather for formal and office wear, steel for a watch you want to wear with everything, resin for sport and travel.
Finally, pick the dial. Black and white dials are the most versatile. Blue is a good third watch. Match the hands and markers to the case metal so the dial stays easy to read.
